Russia’s gold output increases 12% in January–November '13
MOSCOW, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- Russia increased its gold and gold concentrate production by 12% on the year to 227.783 tonnes in January–November 2013, the Gold Producers Union said on Friday.
Russian companies refined 197.878 tonnes of mined gold, up 8.3% on the year. By-product gold output fell 1.5% to 14.297 tonnes, while production from scrap almost tripled on the year to 15.608 tonnes.
The union’s forecast for gold mining in 2013 amounts to 208 tonnes, while mining and production will amount to 234 tonnes this year.
